MAKK Landscape Group (MLG) was started by brothers Davis & Hunter Makk. What begin with a 21-inch push mower has now transformed into a full-service landscape company. Throughout the past 13 years, MLG has expanded into different market segments. Starting in the residential world maintaining properties and quickly growing into residential design build work.

After the first purchase of RL Volz, the Makk Group grew into the commercial maintenance and construction division. With the recent purchase of Stephenson Landscape & Design, MLG now has a strong commercial installation branch along with strengthening our design build services for all our clients. Our home is Louisville Kentucky with a full-service garden center and nursery (MAKK West) and a 25-acre facility across town (MAKK East). 

MLG has been able to grow through trusted partnerships with our employees, contractors, suppliers, and most importantly our residential, commercial, and corporate clients.

These partnerships have fueled our fast growth and allowed us to keep expanding across the northeast. Our service area has no boundaries with completed and on-going projects in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan. 

With MLG’s landscape design & hardscape capabilities, in house general contracting, and focusing on travel installation work. MLG is your trusted partner from the install design to project renovation as well as meeting your commercial maintenance needs, snow removal, and annual contracts for the growing and winter seasons. Also, though our trusted partners we provide irrigation, site grading, and general contracting services. 

Our full-service retail Garden Center & Nursery also provides you with a one stop shop for your “Do it yourself” projects or we can provide you with a free estimate and turnkey design and installation option.
